Elisa Fiorillo, born February 28, 1969, in Philadelphia, is an American singer. At the age of 15, she won the 1985 Star Search talent show. In 1987, she was signed to Chrysalis Records and first performed "Jackie" on the Summer School soundtrack. This caught the attention of John "Jellybean" Benitez, who invited her to be the lead vocalist on two songs from his album Just Visiting This Planet, including the hit single "Who Found Who", which reached number 10 on the UK Singles Chart. Elisa Fiorillo released her self-titled debut album in 1987 and followed it with I Am in 1990, recorded at Prince's Paisley Park recording studio. The latter included the single "On the Way Up", a Top 30 hit in the U.S. and Top 20 in Australia. Throughout the 1990s, Elisa Fiorillo primarily worked as a backing singer for artists such as Savage Garden and Billie Myers. She also contributed to Prince's album Diamonds and Pearls and became a member of his band, The New Power Generation (NPG), in 2009. Elisa Fiorillo continued to release her own music, including the 2014 album Life in 20, under the name Dease & Reese Project. She also directed TV series such as Mahô shôjo neko Taruto and voiced characters in shows like Stratos 4.
