Biography

Dana Dawson was born on August 7, 1974 in Queens, New York. By the age of seven, she was singing and acting on Broadway, and had her first hit at fourteen with "Ready to Follow You". Produced by the French branch of Columbia, Dana Dawson released the song "Romantic World " in 1990, which reached number four in the Top 50. This was followed by "Tell Me Bonita" and the album Paris New York and Me, whose success was mainly French. Dana Dawson then moved to England, where she enjoyed further success in 1995 with "3 Is Family " and the album Black Butterfly. After this period of teenage glory, Dana Dawson disappeared from the music scene. She died of colon cancer on August 10, 2010 at the age of thirty-six.
