Dillinger Four, an American punk rock band, was formed in 1994 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The original lineup included guitarist Erik Funk and bassist Patrick Costello, who had previously played together in Angerhouse. Their debut EP, Higher Aspirations: Tempered and Dismantled, was released in 1995. Following the release of their next EP, The Kids Are All Dead, in 1996, they joined As Friends Rust and Discount on a leg of their American tour in June 1998. The band signed with Hopeless Records and released their debut full-length album, Midwestern Songs of the Americas, that year. They continued to release albums, including Versus God (2000), Situationist Comedy (2002), and Civil War (2008). Dillinger Four played the final concert at Minneapolis music venue Triple Rock Social Club in November 2017. The band has been honored with a star on the outside mural of the Minneapolis nightclub First Avenue, recognizing their significant contributions to the venue's culture.
