Biography

Darren Tate, born on October 22, 1972 in London, England, is a British record producer and DJ. As a classically trained musician, Tate began his career with various television appearances during childhood and later studied music at Leeds University. His first project was a collaboration with Judge Jules and Amanda O'Riordan under the name Angelic, releasing "It's My Turn" in June 2000. Following this, he released tracks under pseudonyms such as Orion and Jurgen Vries. In 2003, Tate released his first singles under his own name: "Prayer for a God" and "Nocturnal Creatures". Also in 2003, he released the hit single "Destination" under the pseudonym DT8. His debut album Horizons 01 was released in 2006. He received a distinguished musician award from the IBLA Foundation in 2009 for his classical work "Dark Skies" with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra.
