Biography

Josiah Makoela, known professionally as Josiah De Disciple, was born on July 3, 1991, in South Africa and is a DJ and record producer. He began his career as part of the Amapiano DJ duo JazziDisciples alongside Mr JazziQ. The duo gained significant attention but split in 2018 to pursue individual projects. Josiah De Disciple released his debut studio album Spirits of Makoela, Vol. 2: The Reintroduction in 2020. His single "Mama", featuring Boohle from their collaborative album Umbuso Wabam'nyama (2020), was certified gold by the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA) in 2023.
