Biography

Toshimitsu Deyama, who goes by the name Toshl, is a Japanese singer-songwriter who gained fame as lead vocalist of the rock band X Japan in the early 1980s. They released several popular recordings but in 1992 he began a solo career with the album 'Made in Heaven' and he left the band in 1997. He released many albums, singles, music videos and DVDs and in 2007 he rejoined X Japan while continuing with solo releases. Other albums include 'Mission' (1994), 'Grace' (1995), 'Canary' (1998), 'Utatabi ~Utsukushi Machi e~' (2004), 'Earth Spirit' (2008), 'Hontou no Ai' (2009), 'Cherry Blossom' (2013) and 'Crystal Rock Chapter 1-3' (2013). His 2018 release 'Im a Singer' went to number four on Japan's Oricon albums chart and the Billboard Japan chart and in 2019 he released 'Im a Singer Vol. 2' with the track 'A Cruel Angel's Thesis'.
