Techno producer and DJ Thomas Weyer, known professionally as Commander Tom, was born on August 29, 1962, in Germany. He began his career in the 1980s at the Trianon disco in Ãtigheim, Baden-Württemberg, earning the nickname "Commander Tom." He later moved to Roland Kopfs' Drops SuperDisco in Kehl/Goldscheuer and the associated Radio Drops, as well as the Rheinpark disco in Germersheim. He gained prominence for his sets of Black Music, transitioning to harder rhythms with the rise of techno. In 1993, Tom Meyer became the A&R Director at Noom Records, part of the Neckargemünder Undercover Music Group (UCMG). His production "Noom 06", released under the pseudonym Tom de Luxe, became one of the best-selling records of its time. Commander Tom's breakthrough came with his first solo production "Are Am Eye?", released as Noom 13 in collaboration with DJ Peter Pan. This track propelled him to international fame. In 2004, Commander Tom released the single "Attention!," which reached number 80 on the German Club Charts and secured a deal with Ministry of Sound, also peaking at number 23 on the UK charts.
