Colleen Brown is a Canadian adult contemporary, folk, pop, and rock singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Edmonton, Alberta. Brown grew up in Lloydminster and graduated from the Grant MacEwan College Vocal Performance Program. Brown performed with the Kit Kat Club and the rock band The Secretaries. Brown released her debut album, A Peculiar Thing, in 2004. Her second album, Foot in Heart (2008), reached number 2 on the !earshot Folk/Roots/Blues chart and featured the singles âBoyfriendâ and âLove You Babyâ. Her recording career included the albums Dirt (2012) and Direction (2015), and the EP Seasons Are Circling (2016). In 2018, Brown released the collaborative album Major Love. Frequently compared to Joni Mitchell, Brown performed in the touring production Up On Cripple Creek and shared stages with Frank Black and Jakob Dylan.
