Biography

Chakichi Wakatsuki, born on 28 May 1984 in Japan, began her public career as a gravure idol and variety tarento before transitioning to music. Her debut single, "Ai No Kakera", was released on 30 July 2003 under Platinum Production, marking her entry into the pop music scene. The following year, she released her second single, "Diamond 〜Kibou No Shirushi〜", on 7 April 2004, which consolidated her presence in the Japanese pop market. Throughout her career, Wakatsuki maintained a focus on pop music, collaborating with several contemporary artists and participating in televised music programs. She remained with Platinum Production during her active years, contributing to the label’s pop roster. While her discography is limited to the 2004 album and the 2003 single, her work earned her recognition within the gravure and music industries, including the 2005 Talent Category Award for Best Jerseist Female.
