Biography

Nanaoka (born May 30, 1976 in Kyoto Prefecture) is a Japanese female singer-songwriter who dominated the scene with her overwhelming singing ability and presence. She has been active in live music clubs since her student days, and her talent was recognized when she was offered a ticket to a major label, resulting in her impressive debut on May 21, 1997, with the single "Koi wa Maijita," produced by Takahiro Matsumoto of B'z. She also wrote her own lyrics for the song, " I' m a Singer , " which was released on May 20, 1997. The song, for which she wrote the lyrics herself, was a huge hit, selling over 150,000 copies despite the lack of media exposure. Her album information was very extensive, and in 1998, she actively inserted her first album "Nanane, " in which Matsumoto participated fully. Later, he turned into a full-fledged singer-songwriter who also composes his own music. With former PAMELAH member Masazumi Ozawa as her producer, she released the single "Life no Mizu" in 1999, and in 2000 released her second album "Hajimari no Uta ", which condensed her rich musicality and attracted many music fans.
