Asami Abe, born å®åéº»ç¾ on February 27, 1985, in Muroran, HokkaidÅ, Japan, is a Japanese singer and actress. She began her career in 2003 with the release of her debut single "RiyÅ«" followed by "Our Song". Her first album, Wishes, was released later that year on November 5. In 2004, she released her second album, 4 Colors. During this period, Abe also ventured into acting, appearing in various films and television dramas, including Minami-kun no Koibito (2004), Hotman 2 (2004), and The Hit Parade (2006). She also starred in the biographical drama about The Peanuts with her sister Natsumi Abe. In addition to her music and acting career, Abe released several DVDs, including A Girl ~I Wish Upon a Song~ (2003) and Asamix! (2004). In May 2007, Abe joined the group Gyaruru, taking on the stage name "Abébé," alongside Ami Tokito and Gyaru Sone. The group released a single, "Boom Boom Meccha Maccho", but was soon put on hiatus. On November 11, 2011, Asami Abe announced her retirement from the entertainment industry to get married.
