Biography

Brother Brown was a Danish house music duo founded in 1995 by Atle Rønne Thorberg and Henrik Olsen. Their early work surfaced with the single "Where Are My Organs?" paired with "Slow Feet" in 1997, which established their presence on the club scene and led to a contract with Yoshi‑Toshi. In 1999, they released "Under The Water", featuring Danish folk vocalist Marie Frank, which entered the UK Singles Chart at Number 18 and earned them a Danish Grammy in 2000. The same year they issued their remix of Madonna’s "Die Another Day", which reached Number 1 on the Billboard Dance Chart. Between 2001 and 2003 Brother Brown released singles such as "Visa Versa", "Star Catching Girl", and "Brotha Brotha", and produced the EP The Colorado EP in 2003, before signing with FFRR and touring across Europe. The duo disbanded in 2004, and both members pursued solo projects thereafter; no post‑disband releases were issued under the Brother Brown name.
