Anita Madeleine Harris, born on June 3, 1942 in Somerset, England, is a British singer and actress. She began her performing career through figure skating, eventually becoming a dancer at the El Rancho Hotel in Las Vegas. In 1961, she signed with EMI Records and released her first single "I Haven't Got You" / "Mr One And Only." Anita Harris gained significant attention when she moved to CBS Records in 1966, releasing her debut album Somebody's In My Orchard. Her breakthrough came with the single "Just Loving You," which reached number 6 on the UK Singles Chart in August 1967 and remained in the Top 40 until the end of the year. This success was followed by notable releases such as "The Playground" (1967) and a remake of "Anniversary Waltz" (1968). She also appeared in several films, including 1967's Follow That Camel and Carry On Doctor, and had a prominent role in the children's television series Jumbleland between 1970 and 1971. Subsequent albums include Love To Sing (1976), Feelings (1979), and A Taste of Honey (1996). In 2012, she recorded a jazz swing version of "Fairytale of New York" with Ray Dorset.
