Grayson Hugh, born Grayson on 30 October 1960 in Hartford, Connecticut, is an American musician known for his roles as a singer-songwriter, pianist, Hammond B3 organ player and composer. Raised in a family with strong classical music influences, he began playing the piano at age three. In 1980, he released his self-titled debut album. His breakthrough came in 1988 with the release of "Talk It Over", which reached number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. This was followed by two more successful singles, "Bring It All Back" and "How 'Bout Us?". His second major label album, Road to Freedom (1992), received critical acclaim. However, in 1993, he was dropped from MCA Records following the firing of his A&R representative, Paul Atkinson. He left the music industry in 1994, returning to music full-time in 2007. His comeback album An American Record was released in May 2010. He went on to continue touring and releasing albums, including Back to the Soul (2015), which was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Americana Album category. 2020 saw the release of Off the Road, followed by 2025's Save Your Love for Me.
