Biography

Alabama Thunderpussy, an American heavy metal band from Richmond, Virginia, was founded in 1996 by Bryan Cox, Erik Larson, and Asechiah Bogdan. The group initially consisted of Cox on drums, Larson on guitar, and Bogdan on guitars, with Bill Storms on bass and Johnny Throckmorton as the vocalist. They signed to Man's Ruin Records in 1998 and released their debut album Rise Again. In 2000, they released Constellation and a split album with Halfway to Gone. The band parted ways with Man's Ruin and Throckmorton in 2002, signing to Relapse Records and hiring Johnny Weills as the new frontman for the release of Fulton Hill. After Weills left to form Danballah, Kyle Thomas took over vocal duties for Open Fire, released in March 2007. The band disbanded in 2008 following a live album release, Live At The Contamination Festival.
