Biography

A worthy successor to Black Sabbath, Electric Wizard is a leader in the doom metal or extreme heavy metal movement. Formed in 1993 in England's leafy Dorset region, Electric Wizard celebrated the heavier, darker side of heavy metal with Electric Wizard in 1995. Electric Wizard's progress was halted by various personal troubles for the band members, before they came back stronger with Dopethrone in 2000. 2003 sees Electric Wizard's line-up turned upside down, before recording the seventies-oriented Witchcult Today. Black Masses in 2010 adds a healthy dose of sulphur to Electric Wizard's already epic reputation.
