Biography
American metal band formed by charismatic guitarist and vocalist Page Hamilton, Helmet rose to prominence with the album Meantime, released by Interscope in 1992. The band demonstrated its ambitions with the following album, Betty (1994) and, to a lesser extent, Interstate (1997). Killed by ego problems, Helmet disbanded in 1999, only to return with Size Matters in 2004 and Monochrome in 2006. In 2010, a new line-up takes the helm on Seeing Eye Dog. A final adjustment will take place with the integration of Dave Case on bass before the recording, six years later, of Dead to the World.
