Youngblood Hawke is an American indie pop group formed in Los Angeles, California, in 2011 by former Iglu & Hartly members Simon Katz and lead vocalist Sam Martin alongside longâtime friends. The bandâs name references Herman Woukâs novel Youngblood Hawke. Their debut EP Youngblood Hawke was released on in Augustâ¯, 2012 under Universal Republic Records, followed by the remix collection We Come Running Remixes on 3⯠December, 2012. The fullâlength debut album Wake Up arrived on 5⯠Aprilâ¯, 2013, featuring the single "We Come Running", which appeared on the FIFA â¯13 soundtrack and in the first episode of The 100. In March â¯2014 the band released the single "Pressure" ahead of a planned second studio album, while "Stars" was used in a Netflix commercial. Subsequent singles included "Knock Me Down" (â¯2015), "Robbers" (2017), and "Trust" (2018). The second album Edge of the World was announced on 28 â¯July, 2020 and released on 9 â¯October, â¯2020, preceded by the singles "Waking Up the World", "Criminals", and "Find a Way". The groupâs work has been featured in various media, including PlayStationâ¯4 and Maddenâ¯NFLâ¯16 advertisements.
