Signed to the Kitsuné label, the Northern Irish trio Two Door Cinema Club, formed in 2007, shot to fame two years later with the singles "Something Good to Work" and "I Can Talk", confirmed a few months later by a hard-hitting debut album, Tourist History, which went platinum in the UK. This album contains another iconic track: "What You Know". Buoyed by this first European success, Alex Trimble (vocals, guitar), Kevin Baird (guitar) and Sam Halliday (keyboards, bass) returned to the studio between tours to record the album Beacon with Jacknife Lee. In 2012, the album went gold and reached #2 in the UK. The third Gameshow album, driven by the single "Are You Ready? (Wreck)", was not released until four years later, in October 2016.
