Xenia Beliayeva, born in 1980 in Moscow, is a Russian-German electronic music DJ and visual artist. Her music blended electro, techno, acid, dark wave, and pop elements. In 1988, she emigrated to Germany with her mother and began her creative journey in 1997 working with photographer Peter Böttcher. Her musical breakthrough came the same year as an opening act for Kraftwerk's show at the ZKM Karlsruhe, alongside Laurent Garnier. Beliayeva released her first singles in 2006, including "Prototype" and "Ultra Glamour", on Anthony Rotherâs label Datapunk. Her debut EP Momentan was released in 2008, followed by the album Ever Since in 2010 on Shitkatapult Records. In addition to her musical career, she has been known for her visual art, which often complemented her musical work through exhibitions and performances.
