Biography

Vincent Vincent, born in England, was the vocalist and guitarist of the English rock group Vincent Vincent and the Villains. After leaving art college in East London, he formed the band in 2003 and released the limited‑edition single "On My Own" on Smoking Gun Records in 2004. The group attracted the attention of Young And Lost Club, which issued their second single "Blue Boy" and signed them to EMI. In 2006 the single "Johnny Two Bands" was released and performed on Top of the Pops, while "I'm Alive" followed in April. The band issued "On My Own" again in October 2007 and "Pretty Girl" on 25 February 2008. Their debut album, Gospel Bombs, was released on 10 March 2008; a third single was planned for May but was cancelled after EMI dropped the group. The Villains played their final gig at 93 Feet East, London, on 13 September 2008, when Vincent Vincent and the Villains disbanded.
