Toxic Narcotic was an American crust punk and hardcore punk band from Boston that formed in 1989. The ensemble was founded by Bill Damon, Will Sullivan, and Kevin Barnello with the intent of mixing elements of punk, hardcore, and metal. Their early discography includes the EPs Populution (1992) and 2Oz. Slab of Hate (1993). After extensive touring throughout the 1990s, they released the compilation album 89-99 (2000), followed by their first proper studio album, We're All Doomed (2002). The group is famous for political lyrics addressing anti-war and environmental themes. In 2005, the band performed at the North East Sticks Together festival and subsequently went on hiatus. During this period, Damon and Sullivan formed the band Mouth Sewn Shut. Their discography also includes the split âBostons Finestâ (1998) and the EP âShoot People, Not Dopeâ (2003). The group became inactive in 2008 following an injury to the drummer Sam Jodrey.
