Biography

The country singer Tommy Shane Steiner enjoyed a brief time in the spotlight between the years 2001 and 2003. He was born in Austin, Texas in 1973 and after signing to RCA Records Nashville in 2001 his debut single 'What If She's an Angel' peaked at number two in the Billboard Country charts. The single was the lead off his debut album 'Then Came the Night' which was released the following year but unfortunately two further singles from the album 'Tell Me Where It Hurts' and 'What We're Gonna Do About It' barely made it into the top 50. After such a promising start Steiner's musical career inexplicably stalled and RCA Nashville dropped him in 2002. Although he hasn't released any further material he is still active in the music scene around Texas and often makes live appearances. He comes from a famous Texas dynasty of rodeo stars and his grandfather was T.C. 'Buck' Steiner, a cowboy who founded a range of horse riding equipment and tack. The family also own a famous steakhouse in Austin and following his brief career in music Steiner has since devoted his time to running the family business.
