Timothy Drayton, known professionally as Timbo King, was born on March 26, 1973, in Bushwick, Brooklyn, New York. He began his music career in the early 1990s, releasing his first EP United We Slam with producer Spark 950 in 1993. Throughout the decade, Timbo King recorded two albums with Royal Fam: Black Castle (1996) and Yesterday, Today, Iz Tomorrow (2000). In 2005, he formed Black Market Militia and released an album of the same name featuring notable artists. Timbo King's debut solo album, From Babylon to T1mbuk2, was released in 2011. He also appeared in the film Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai. In 2013, he founded The Kraftsmen, a hip-hop and rock band with French artists. Timbo King later continued to release music through various collaborations and projects.
