Biography

The Wave Pictures is an English indie rock band from Wymeswold, Leicestershire, formed in 1998. David Tattersall and Franic Rozycki founded the group with drummer Hugh J. Noble under the initial name Blind Summit. After Noble left to attend university, Jonny Helm joined the group as the permanent drummer, and the band relocated to London. Following several independent recordings, the band signed with Moshi Moshi Records. The group released the albums Sophie (2006) and Instant Coffee Baby (2008). Their discography included the recordings “We Dress Up Like Snowmen” / “Now You Are Pregnant” (2007) and “I Love You Like a Madman” (2008). The Wave Pictures collaborated with artists Herman Düne and Darren Hayman, resulting in the album Catching Light: The Songs of André Herman Düne (2006). Later studio work included Susan Rode the Cyclone (2010), Brushes With Happiness (2018), and Gained / Lost (2026).
