Biography

The Planet Smashers, a Canadian ska punk band from Montreal, formed in 1993. The original lineup included Matt Collyer, Ceco Munaretto, Andrew Conway, and Dave Jones. In late 1993, Collyer and Munaretto reformed the band with a focus on ska, adding horns and new members Travis Wilkinson, Dave Cooper, and Andrew Skowronski. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1995, featuring hits like "Pee in the Elevator" and "Janice". The band's first cross-country tour followed in the summer of 1995, extending into the United States by 1996. Despite lineup changes, The Planet Smashers continued to release albums including Attack Of The Planet Smashers (1997) and Life Of The Party (1999). Notable releases include Descent Into the Valley of... (2011) and Mixed Messages (2014).
