The Paddingtons, an English indie rock band from Hull, were formed in 2002 and consisted of Tom Atkin on vocals, Stuee Bevan on guitar, Josh Hubbard on guitar, Lloyd Dobbs on bass, and Grant Dobbs on drums. The band initially gained traction by touring venues around Hull, such as the Welly Club and The New Adelphi Club, becoming part of the New Yorkshire movement of the mid-2000s. Their debut album, First Comes First, was produced by Owen Morris in 2005 and achieved modest commercial success but raised their profile significantly. In November 2006, they embarked on a national tour to test new material, appearing alongside acts like The Cribs and Dirty Pretty Things. The Paddingtons released their second album, No Mundane Options, in 2008, which included the singles "Stand Down" and "What's The Point In Anything New". They also collaborated with Adam Green from The Moldy Peaches for the single "Lady Boy" on their EP The Lady Boy Tapes released in 2010. After a hiatus, they reunited to play at Hullâs Humber Street Sesh Festival in 2014 and returned in 2018.
