Biography

The Haunted Youth are a Belgian indie rock and shoegaze band founded by Joachim Liebens. Emerging in the early 2020s, the group gained attention with their debut single âTeen Rebelâ and quickly became one of Belgiumâs most acclaimed new alternative acts. Their music blends dreamy shoegaze textures, post-punk atmospheres, and melancholic indie rock, characterized by reverb-laden guitars, introspective lyrics, and emotionally immersive soundscapes. Their debut album Dawn of the Freak (2022) established them as a leading force in the new European wave of dream-pop and post-punk-influenced indie music. The band followed up with Boys Cry Too (2026), released through PIAS.
