Havana 3am was a British-American rock supergroup formed in 1986, consisting of singer/guitarist Nigel Dixon, guitarist Gary Myrick, and bassist Paul Simonon. The band also included drummer Travis Williams. Havana 3am's music blended elements of rockabilly, Latin, and reggae influences. In 1990, they signed a worldwide record deal with I.R.S. Records and traveled to Japan to record their self-titled debut album Havana 3am with audio engineer Masahiko Yamazaki. The album was released in 1991 and featured the single "Reach the Rock", which became a minor radio hit in certain markets. Following Dixon's death in April 1993, Simonon left the group to pursue visual art. Myrick reassembled the band with Jamie Chez on drums and Tom Felicetta on bass, releasing Texas Glitter & Tombstone Tales in 1996 under the name Gary Myrick & Havana 3am. However, this album was less successful, leading to their eventual disbandment shortly thereafter.
