Biography

Brockdorff Klang Labor, a German electropop band from Leipzig, consisted of Nadja von Brockdorff (Nancy Böttner), Sergej Klang (Marcus Psurek), and Ekki Labor (Eckhart Petzold). The band's music blends guitars with keyboards and synthesizers, emphasizing electronic sounds and lyrical texts often influenced by Dadaism. Their first song "Tausend bunte Lichter" was released in 1997. In 2007, they released their debut album Mädchenmusik, which explored the nightlife of a fictional metropolis. Their second album, Die Fälschung der Welt, was released in October 2012. Brockdorff Klang Labor performed at the Expo 2010 in Shanghai and won the Protestsongwettbewerb in 2011 with "Festung Europa". In 2023, they released their third album Signs & Sparks, with Ekki Labor no longer actively involved.
