Duo505, an Austrian indie electronic duo from Vienna, was formed in 2001 by Bernhard Fleischmann and Herbert Weixelbaum. The band's name combines "duo" with "MC-505," the Groovebox model used by both members. Duo505 began when Wolfgang Kopper, a Viennese concert organizer, encouraged them to perform together at the annual Gürtel Nightwalk event. Their initial collaboration led to further performances and songwriting sessions. In August 2004, they released their debut album Late through Morr Music. The duo toured North America in 2004 with other artists from Morr Music. Duo505's second album, Another Illusion, was released in 2008 on the Wiener label Konkord. Their third album, Walzer oder nicht, was released by Morr Music in 2011.
