Sweet Connection was a German musical duo, active from 1988 to 1990. The project was initiated by euro disco record producer Luis Rodriguez and songwriter-producer Reinhardt Frantz. The original lineup consisted of June LaVonne Polichio, born December 27, 1959, in Los Angeles, United States, and Inge Schaubschläger, born December 20, 1966, in Wolfratshausen, Germany. Their debut single "Need Your Passion" was released in 1988 and became a European club hit, reaching Number 1 in Japan. The duo's image featured the contrasting styles of a sultry blonde and brunette, with Polichio being the brunette and Schaubschläger the blonde. In 1989, the lineup changed to Billie Joe and Sue Dixie, who co-wrote their songs. The duo released two more successful singles "Heart To Heart" in 1989 and "Love Bites" in 1990 before disbanding in 1991. Although no album was released during their active career, a compilation titled Need Your Passion was released by DWS Records in 2008, featuring all of Sweet Connection's singles and remixes.
