Biography
Jean-Philip Grobler, known professionally as St. Lucia, is a South African singer and musician born in Johannesburg in 1983. He began his musical journey at age 12. In 2012, St. Lucia released his self-titled EP independently before signing with Neon Gold Records. His debut full-length album, When the Night, was released in October 2013, featuring notable singles such as "Elevate" and "All Eyes on You". St. Lucia embarked on a nationwide tour starting in Philadelphia in January 2014. His second studio album, Matter, was released in January 2016, featuring singles such as "Dancing on Glass" and "Physical". St. Lucia continued to release albums including Hyperion (September 2018) and Utopia (April 2022). In 2025, the band released the diptych Fata Morgana: Dawn and Fata Morgana: Dusk.
