South Central Cartel, a gangsta rap group from Los Angeles, California, formed in the early 1990s. They gained initial recognition with their debut album South Central Madness, released in 1991. The group later released 'N Gatz We Truss in 1994, which helped establish their presence in the underground gangsta rap scene. They subsequently signed with Def Jam and released All Day Everyday in 1997, with notable songs including "U Gotta Deal Wit Dis" and "Pops Was a Rolla." In 1999, they released Concrete Jungle Vol. 1 on an independent label following their departure from Def Jam in the late 1990s. The group continued releasing albums throughout the 2000s, including Westurrection (2005), and later returned with South Central Gangsta Muzic (2010). South Central Cartel is recognized for their contributions to the gangsta rap genre alongside groups like N.W.A. and Comptonâs Most Wanted.
