Ice Cube, whose real name is O'Shea Jackson and who was not only a successful actor during his career but also a member of the rap institution N.W.A., was born in L.A. on June 15, 1969. As a teenager, he met the living hip-hop legend Dr. Dre, who would later become an integral part of N.W.A.. With the MC clique, which also included Eazy-E, DJ Yella and MC Ren, Jackson celebrated colossal success in the late 1980s, making his standing in the hip-hop cosmos unquestionable at a very early stage.
