Biography

Soft Play are a British punk duo known for their raw, unapologetic sound and socially charged lyrics. Originating from Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent, England, Soft Play were formed by childhood friends Isaac Holman (vocals and drums) and Laurie Vincent (guitar and bass). Previously known as Slaves, the pair rebranded to Soft Play in 2022 after releasing three studio albums under their original name: the UK Top 10 debut Are You Satisfied? (2015), Take Control (2016) and Acts of Fear and Love (2018). Their inaugural album as Soft Play, Heavy Jelly, earned the group their first Scottish number-one and their highest UK chart position to date (#3). In 2025, they released Heavier Jelly, a deluxe version of Heavy Jelly bundled with six additional tracks.
