Biography

The Casualties, formed in New York City in 1990, were founded by vocalist Jorge Herrera and guitarist Hank Fischer. Their early releases, the 40 Oz. Casualty EP (1992) and A Fuckin' Way of Life EP (1995), established their street‑punk sound. The band’s debut studio album, For the Punx, appeared in 1997, followed by Underground Army (1998), On the Front Line (2004), Under Attack (2005), We Are All We Have (2009), Resistance (2012), Chaos Sound (2016), and Written in Blood (2018). They toured extensively with The Exploited, GBH and other punk acts, and signed to Season of Mist in 2012. In 2017 Jorge Herrera retired, replaced by David Rodriguez, while long‑time members Jake Kolatis and Marc “Meggers” Eggers remained. The band continued to perform and released the album Detonate under Hellcat Records in 2026.
