Biography
Starflyer 59, an American alternative rock band, was formed in Riverside, California, by guitarist and vocalist Jason Martin in 1993. After a demo impressed Tooth & Nail Records founder Brandon Ebel, the band released its debut Starflyer 59 in 1994, followed by Americana (1997). The 1998 release The Fashion Focus added keyboards and a softer pop sensibility, while Leave Here A Stranger (2001) was recorded in mono as a tribute to producer Gene Eugene. Later albums include The Changing of the Guard (2010), IAMACEO (2013), Young in My Head (2019), Vanity (2021), Lust for Gold (2024), and Déjame Dormir (2025).
