Stefanie Anke Hertel, born on July 25, 1979, in Oelsnitz/Vogtl., Germany, is a German folk singer. She began performing at four years old with her father, Eberhard Hertel, and had her first television appearance at six on Oberhofer Bauernmarkt. In 1990, she signed with Hans R. Beierlein after appearing on Volkstümliche Hitparade. Hertel's breakthrough came in 1992 when she won the Grand Prix of Folk Music with "Ãber jedes Bacherl geht a Brückerl" and was awarded the "Crown of Folk Music" by RTL that same year. Throughout her career, she released numerous albums, including Die GroÃe Jodel-Party (1990) and So A Stückerl Heile Welt (1991). Notable collaborations include Du Bist Mein Kleines Geheimnis with Stefan Mross in 1994. Hertel's album Hast Du Zeit für ein paar Träume? reached number 57 on the German Album charts in 1996.
