Biography

Garrett Robin Hamler (born March 9, 1971) known professionally as Sean Garrett, is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, and record producer. He was a credited songwriter for a series of successful R&B and hip hop recordings, most notably Usher's 2004 single "Yeah!". Along with "Yeah!", Garrett has written five other hit songs that peaked the Billboard Hot 100: "Goodies" for Ciara in 2003, "Check on It" for Beyoncé and "Run It!" for Chris Brown" in 2005, "London Bridge" for Fergie and "Grillz" for Nelly in 2006.Billboard placed him fifth list of producers with the most number-one hits. Garrett has been nominated for four Grammy Awards. His other writing credits include Beyoncé's singles "Diva", "Video Phone", Get Me Bodied", and "Upgrade U", as well as Destiny's Child's "Shirt", Ciara's breakout song "Goodies" and The Pussycat Dolls' single "Buttons". Alongside songwriting and production, Garrett also has a recording career as an Crunk&B singer. His highest-charting songs include his features on Mario's 2009 single "Break Up, Ludacris' 2008 single What Them Girls Like", and Nicki Minaj's 2010 debut single "Massive Attack". His debut album, Turbo 919 (2008) was released through Interscope Records only in Japan.
