Biography
Schmutzki is a punk rock & indie rock band from Germany founded in 2011. The band consists of singer and guitarist Beat Schmutz, bassist Dany Horowitz and drummer Flo Hagmüller. In 2012, the trio won the "Play Live" band promotion prize organized by Popbüro Stuttgart. This allowed Schmutzki to perform at the Southside Festival in 2013. A year later, the band signed a record deal with Four Music. After the EP Backstage was released in 2013, another EP, Mob, followed in 2014. A year later, Schmutzki released their debut album Bäm. The follow-up Spackos Forever achieves its first chart entry in Germany at number 27. The album Mehr Rotz als Verstand is released in 2018. Schmutzki bridge the gap until the next album with the EP Crazy (2019). The fourth longplayer Schmutz de la Schmutz is released in 2023. The album climbs to number 18 in Germany. After the album Bodensee Calling (2024), the punk rockers followed up with their next studio album Rausch Against the Machine in 2025. The album reaches number 76 in Germany.
