Engst is a rock band from Germany that was founded in 2015. Stylistically, the band moves between rock, pop and punk. Engst's career began on a TV casting show. However, winner Matthias Engst decides against a major record deal with the winning band Van Royals. Instead, he looks for musicians and founds his band Engst. The EP ENGST is released independently in 2015. In 2017, Engst signed with the record label Arising Empire. The debut album Flächenbrand follows a year later. The second album Schöne neue Welt (Brave New World ) enters the German charts for the first time in 2020 at number 20. Another year later, Engst released the EP Vier Gesichter. The third studio album Irgendwas ist immer followed in 2023, reaching number 14 in the German charts.
