Robyn Archer, born Robyn Smith on June 18, 1948, in Prospect, South Australia, is an Australian singer. She began singing professionally at age 12 and graduated from the University of Adelaide. Her first album, Take Your Partners For... The Ladies Choice, was released in 1978. Archer's career took off with her one-woman cabaret shows, including A Star Is Torn (1979), which she performed extensively across Australia and at Wyndham's Theatre in Londonâs West End from 1979 to 1983. She released several albums throughout the 1980s and 1990s, including Robyn Archer Sings Brecht (1981) and Mrs. Bottle's (Absolutely Blurtingly Beautiful World-Beating) Burp (1990). She was inducted into the South Australian Music Hall of Fame on April 1, 2016.
