Biography
Rita Engedalen, born on December 17, 1971 in Norway, is a Norwegian singer known for her contributions to blues music. Her career began with the release of Hear My Song in 2004 under Bluestown Records. In 2006, she won the blues category of the Spelleman Award and released her second album, Heaven ain't Ready for Me Yet. Engedalen gained international recognition by winning the European Blues Challenge in 2012. She has performed at notable venues such as the Sunflower Blues Festival in Clarksdale, Mississippi, and collaborated with Margit Bakken as the duo Women in Blues. Her album The Tree Still Standing was released in 2008 under Grammofon Records.
