Biography

Formed in 2011 by guitarist and vocalist Tommy Castro, the band also includes his trusty accompanying bassist Randy McDonald (bass), James Pace (keyboards) and Byron Cage (drums). Debut album The Devil You Know, released in 2014 on Alligator Records, features collaborations with Joe Bonamassa, Tab Benoit, Marcia Ball, The Holmes Brothers and Magic Dick. It sets the tone for a blues rock and soul style carried by subsequent recordings Method to My Madness (2015), with new members Bowen Brown (bass) and Mike Emerson (keyboards), Stompin' Ground (2017) and the live document Killin' It Live (2019). In 2025, after a solo comeback by the frontman, the band returned with the album Closer to the Bone.
