Reel Tight was an American R&B group originating from Chattanooga, Tennessee, formed in 1996 by Danny Johnson, Bobby Kane, Reggie Long, and Bobby Rice. The quartet was discovered and mentored by Warren G, who guided their early training and helped secure a recording contract with GâFunk/Restless. Their breakthrough single, "I Want U", was released on 16 March 1999 and entered the Billboard charts. On 13 April 1999 the group issued their only studio album, Back To The Real, which featured the chartâsuccessing tracks "I Want U" and "No More Pain". The album received modest radio play and solidified Reel Tightâs presence in the contemporary R&B and soul scene. Following the release, the group toured regionally but did not issue further recordings; their activity ceased shortly thereafter.
