Imajin, an American contemporary R&B group from the United States, formed in 1998. The group's breakthrough came with their debut single âShorty (You Keep Playin' With My Mind)â, which featured Keith Murray and later Mr. Cheeks of The Lost Boyz. This single peaked at number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100, number 20 on Billboardâs Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, and number 22 in the UK Singles Chart in 1998, establishing Imajin as a notable act in the contemporary R&B scene. Their self-titled debut full-length album, Imajin, was released on October 26, 1999, under Jive Records. The group also released the single âFlavaâ in 2000, further solidifying their presence in the genre. Imajin's music blended smooth vocals with infectious beats, appealing to a wide audience and gaining them a dedicated fanbase. The group disbanded in 2000, but their influence lingered. Posthumously, their unreleased masters were compiled into an album titled Unreleased Masters, which was released in 2005 by IRI/Circle Entertainment and Imajin Recording Inc. This posthumous release included tracks like âAre We Still In Loveâ and a collaboration with The Game titled âCan't Forgetâ, showcasing the group's enduring musical legacy.
