Biography

Psychopomps, an electro-industrial band from Denmark, was formed in 1990 by Jesper Schmidt and Flemming Norre Larsen. The duo's early influences included Depeche Mode and industrial bands like Nitzer Ebb. They released the EP Moredk in 1991, followed by their album Assassins DK United in 1992 under Zoth Ommog Records. They signed with Cleopatra Records and released several albums, including Pro-Death Ravers (1993) and Six Six Six Nights in Hell (1995). The band's lineup expanded to include Kaare Mogensen for the 1997 album Fiction Non Fiction. Psychopomps appeared defunct after this release, but in 2014, Infacted Recordings released a retrospective compilation titled Infection Start 90, featuring their work. The band's music has been featured in soundtracks such as the film Saw (2004) with "Wonderful World" and Diamond Cartel (2017) with "The Slaughter".
