Biography

Revolting Cocks was formed in 1985 in the United States by Al Jourgensen of Ministry, Luc van Acker of Shriekback, and Front 242 member Richard 23, who met during a Wax Trax! tour and decided to create a side project that blended industrial, hard rock and electronic elements. Their first release, the single "No Devotion", appeared on Wax Trax! in 1985, followed by the debut studio album Big Sexy Land in 1986, which showcased heavy sampling and synthesized beats. In 1989 the band issued Stainless Steel Providers, and the following year Let's Get Physical and Beers, Steers And Queers expanded their catalogue with layered production and a cover of "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?" released as a single in 1993. After a brief hiatus, Revolting Cocks returned in 2006 with Cocked and Loaded, and continued with Sex-O Olympic-O in 2009 and ¿Got Cock? in 2010, both released on Cleopatra Records. The group has performed worldwide, including tours with Ministry and appearances at WGT and Infest festivals, and has released live albums such as You Goddamned Son Of A Bitch: Live At The Metro Chicago.
