Philmont was an American Christian rock band formed in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2005 by Scott Taube, Josiah Prince, Abe Hege, and Matthew Arcaini. Philmont's early releases included the independent EPs Take Cover (2006) and Photosynthetic (2007). In 2008, they signed with Forefront Records/EMI CMG and released their first EP under the label, Oh Snap. Their debut full-length album, Attention, was released in August 2009. The band achieved chart success with singles like "I Can't Stand to Fall" and "The Difference", which peaked at number 5 and number 3 on Christian Rock Radio, respectively. Philmont toured internationally with bands such as Family Force 5 and Fireflight. After leaving Forefront Records in 2010, they released The Transition EP independently. The band disbanded in August 2012 following the departure of key members and their final concert at Lifelight Festival.
